13 - 15 June

Day 1! reached school at 730, had registration, got camp booklet, camp shirt and everything, and then we settled down and had icebreakers! haha we all had to do the limbo. haha it was so fun. and we did it by level. and i think by now, the sec 2s are pretty bonded. its quite cool. like we're all just having fun with each other. after icebreakers was worship and this year, our theme song is consuming fire! haha. its quite cool. yepp. then pam and jia gave camp introduction. our theme was passion. then mrs yap gave opening speech. she asked us one question: from a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, how would we rate our passion for the prefectorial board? and she said to ask ourselves that same question at the end of the camp.

i felt i was around 6 to 7. cos i mean, i really love being a prefect, but sometimes the duties are really boring and the prefects themselves as well. but anyway. after that we had training by lifeskills enrichment. and we got into our groups. methane!

haha yeah. the other 5 groups were matchstick, lighter, charcoal, firewood and candle. haha. yeah. haha yepp. its a really fun group. our first task was to list down all the similarities between our group members. our first one was WE ALL HAVE MOLES ON OUR FACES. haha which is true. and then our most unique one was WE ALL PRODUCE METHANE. ahhahahahha. it was quite funny. yeah and we had like training and stuff lah. we had ice breakers for training. the first game was the blob! someone was the blob and the blob had to catch people and then the person caught would be part of the blob and go catch more people. ahaha. and then in the midst, the blob broke and became 2 big blobs. haha. for the second game methane and charcoal merged. it was some nuclear thing. we had to get the whole group over a waist-high string without touching it. and our group's one worked! haha we were the first group over. then we had training all the way until around 4.30 where we had games. and the first one was the balloon game. we had to blow balloons and line up with the balloons between us and the groups had to try and burst each other's balloons. it was so scary. wan pin was so super scared she kept screaming. it was quite funny. and mag and i were so scared also! but i know i was terrified. like seriously. then we had this weird game where we had our hands tied behind our backs and we had to hop to a plate of skittles in flour and take out 2 skittles and then run to the game masters where we'd get our strings cut and then run to the umbrellas and turn 5 rounds, run to a small bean bag and throw it into the hula hoop. it was so funny. and it was quite fun. we all had like flour on our faces and stuff. haha. yepp. then we went to our station games.

methane's first station was against charcoal. we had to throw wet sponges to our team mates to fill a bucket whil the other team would intercept. i think for that one it was a draw. yepp. then our second game was against lighter. we had to play jacob's ladder and then run to this pail of lemon juice and we had to do whatever the station master told us to do. yvonne couldnt eat her lemon so andree went to help her. hhaha. shes so cute. then i helped wan pin eat her lemon and 3 of us finished drinking the lemon juice. hahah. the bucket ahha. it was quite fun. then the last game was against candle. all of us had to stand on chairs and answer questions about either the pb or the school. if we answered it wrongly, one random chair would be taken away from our group. if we answered correctly, one random chair would be taken away from the other group. if anyone fell off the chairs, they'd have to roll on a misture of flour and water. and so did the losing team, actually. i think methane won. but no one really cared. haha yeah then in the midst, we had like really little chairs and then i was like squatting and i was almost gonna lose my balance and fall and i was on becky's foot. it was so bad. haha. then char and jia fell. but yvonne rolled for jia and i rolled for char cos i think they didnt want to. haha it was quite funny. then after the whole game, wan pin wanted methane to roll, so we did and candle didnt! haha but it was fun. yeah then we had dinner. and after that was night games.

oh my gosh, night games were the scariest things on earth lah. like, the story was that mg was set on fire and our job was to find out who set it on fire. there were 3 options: the gangsters, the ghost, or the mbs. methodist boy's school. appears that mbs was angry cos they lost to mg for arm wrestling and the ghost was really an mg girl that fell to her death, and the gangsters were just. gangsters. yeah. then methane's first station was the gangsters and the gangsters were wen si, crystal, kelly and jo. and gosh it was so disgusting. cos we had like chicken, rice and egg for lunch. then what they did was the chicken bones and unconsumed food, they mixed it together with water and they wanted all of us to reach in and take out a chicken bone. it was so disgusting. like really. it smelled like puke. but anyhow. our second stop was the ghost. oh my gosh. andree and i were so so so super scared. like seriously. it was in the hall and it was all dark and creepy. and wan pin and jean were so scary. and kyra was the ghost. like andree and i cried lah. i was seriously so scared. but it was a good experience. then after that we went to the pavillion and we had this question and answer session. we lost, so we went later. it was the toilet and it was all dark and i got super scared again. but anyway yeah. when we came out we were given candles and then we went to sports complex and kelly and crystal debriefed us and then we said the prefect's pledge. yeah then we lit our candles and we put it into MGPB 06. it was really really nice. and we sang our theme song and it was so touching.

yeah then after that we went to bathe and we had like, training on crowd control. then we had worship, evaluation and then we went to sleep.

Day 2!woke up at 7, had 5bx. wheelbarrow game. haha it was quite funny but it hurt. as in, my hands. yeah then we had breakfast, worship and training again! this time, we were split into our levels and our trainer was Mr Joshua Ng. yeah. then part of our training was to build airplanes and we had to do dominos! it was really very nice. and it was super fun. and mr ng showed us pearl harbour also! josh harnett is the hottest thing everr. haha. after watching like bits of it, all of us were like, LETS GO WATCH TOGETHER! hahaha. yeah. it was fun. then after that we had games. it was so fun! charcoal and methane combined and for the first game we had leaning tower of pisa. all of us had to use our feet and mak the highest tower possible. and ours was like 2 meters something! hahahaha. then for the second game, each group had to get 3 candles to the middle of the netball court while the other teams tried to blow the candles out with water bombs. ting thought of a really good strategy for the game and we won! haha not really. but we were the only successful group. hahaha. then the pts came in, and we had games. our group had um, 5 pts. cherilyn, benavon, ren jean, anna belle and chloe. they're ok, but i hardly got to talk to them. then we had icebreakers. blow wind blow! haha yeah then our first station game was some water thing. we had to play scissors paper stone, the winner gets to splash water on the loser and the loser has to open up the umbrella and shield herself. kinda weird, but in the end, me and becky got dunked. so embarrassing.

then after that was human foosball. ahha it was so funny. we had like all our hands tied up and we scored quite a number of goals. yeah. then the other one was twister. then the mass game was we had to dress up someone from our group and they had to catwalk. and the winning groups were judged by their cheering. methane and matchstick won! yeah then we played the blob! andree was the blob. haha. i managed to not get blobbed. hahah. yeah then we had dinner. oh my gosh. there was so much food for dinner. haha. thn we went to bathe and then andree and i went downstairs cos there was ice cream. and the was so so so so much ice cream. it was like impossible to finish. then we had our committee meetings and during bonding time, we talked and sandra told us something bout her level and i thought bout it. and i started getting paranoid. sigh. anyway. after that was worship, evaluation, reflections and we were supposed to go sleep but cos a few of us had to put up some dance so we practised all the way until 1. 15 then we went to sleep. but even so, i couldnt sleep. i think i slept at 2. yeah. and i was aching like crap.

Day 3!external camp. we were supposed to get up at 645 but i woke up at 650 then cheryl told me we had to meet at 7 to practise for worship. wow. ahha but we managed to practise a bit then we went to lt 1. we had worship and then breakfast and then we cleaned up and got ready for external camp. then cos me and char were hosts for acs barker, i couldnt really help to clean up. then we gave them a tour and gosh. barker guys ah. so jia lat. haha. they kept misbehaving and stuff. but after that, we went to lt and then we were split into external groups. fireworks! i was group leader. chow was assistant. the other group members were andree, rachel, char, teri, weilin, annabelle, chuck! ahha and claire. for external we had wei kee from plmgs, adrian from cat high i think and kenneth from barker. they were ok. then we had ice breakers and stuff. then we had symposium. it was quite cool, cos we got to know how the pb works in other schools. then we had lunch and i got really worried cos fireworks wasnt cooperating. but it was okay after that. we had group time and our item really sucked. hahah. we just sat around doing nothing. but we came up with something. so retarded. but yeah. then we had games! it was really fun.

our first game was FREE RUBBER DUCKY! ahaha we had to get wet, do 5 jumping jacks, run and jump over hurdles and the squeeze water out of our clothes and try and free rubber ducky in a bucket. ahha the other team won. fireworks seemed to lose everything. haha but methane like won almost everything. haha. but anyway. yeah then our second game was spider web. we had to go through this thing and find combinations to release the lock. the other team won (again) but it was quite fun. ahaha and everytime someone touched the web, we had to eat chilli crontos in wasabi. after that was this soap game. we had to slide across a mat with soapy water, grab food in our mouth and go back, and give it to our eater. hahah. we lost (AGAIN!) but it was fun. and we just played around. ahha then our last game was dodgeball. i didnt really play. and after a while, we just played with the waterbombs. and andree and i dunked yvonne. ahha yeah. then we took a group picture! it was nice. then went to clean up and then we met back for the concert and fireworks completely screwed up. it was quite bad. ahha. but at least we did something. then we had our dance. and then we took photos and we sent the schools out. then we cleared up and we went to west 7 to have dinner. then we went back to school, met in the lt, and the sec 4s had a dance for us. it was really so sad. after the dance, a lot of us just cried and stuff cos it was the sec 4s last camp. ill really miss them cos they're such a fun bunch. then a few of us left and the remaining people went to the canteen and we celebrated the june babies' birthdays. it was quite sad. and the yvonne cried again. and i thought bout mrs yap's question on the first. and i felt i was around 8-9. cos during the camp i got to know many of the sec 4s better and they're much nicer than i thought. as for the duties, ill try and do them and look on the positive side while doing them. haha. i guess? haha. yeah then we cleared up and we left.

yeah thats bout all for pb camp. camp had taught me so much. i got to know andree a whole lot better cos we were in the same group for both internal and external. i got to know maisie also and we made fun of andree together and the sec fours also. got to know mag and becky and jia and wan pin. and for the pts, i got to know ren jean, claire, anna belle, chuck! ahha. yeah. and its just really fun. i hope pb 07 will be good. like really. cos right now, i dont know the pts yet so yeah. but im hoping they're nice.

hm. really long post. ill upload pictures another day! and ill update bout chairs kids camp another day also.
